To compete, contestants must meet the eligibility requirements and execute the following document:
Since these are legal documents, you may wish to review them with your attorney prior to competing. A certified copy of your birth certificate and a non-refundable entry fee of $350.00 must accompany your application packet. Entry fee must be in the form of a cashier’s check or money order made payable to Miss Rodeo California Pageant, Inc. NO personal checks will be accepted. Included in your entry fee is lodging, all meals and a full page, B/W Contestant ad in the Official program. Contestants are responsible for submitting their digital ad by August 15, 2010. The Pageant will provide each contestant with a hotel room from October 5th through October 7th. If you choose to arrive at the hotel before October 5th, you will be required to provide your own accommodations. Our host hotel will be the Hampton Inn and Suites. The Hampton Inn and Suites is offering a special MRC friends and family rate. Reservations must be made by September 6, 2010 by calling the hotel at 805-226-9988 and requesting the Miss Rodeo California special rate or clicking here. For Photogenic judging, please include with your application, a ready to frame 8” x 10” color photograph. Photo is to be a headshot in western apparel, including hat. No personal crown or sash is allowed. Each contestant is also to submit a biography of approximately 100 words. Biography may include personal information, education, degrees, rodeo queen titles, hobbies or future plans. Please include a hard copy with your application. Photograph and biography must also be sent in digital format, via email to Cece Campbell at closebyranch@gmail.com by the application deadline date of August 6, 2010. Please send bios typed in the body of the email and attach photo as a “jpg”. Please contact Cece directly for any further questions on submitting headshots electronically. Being Miss Rodeo California requires a full-time commitment to representing the professional sport of rodeo and the Miss Rodeo California Pageant. In addition to the time commitment, there is a financial commitment necessary to compete for the Miss Rodeo America title. In the past, the new Miss Rodeo California has hosted a fundraiser in her local community to help with the MRA Pageant expenses. Please take these commitments into consideration in your decision to compete for the title of Miss Rodeo California. For your application packet to be complete, please submit your completed application, signed Expectation Agreement and Waiver Agreement, certified copy of birth certificate, photographs, biography and entry fee. Application packets must be postmarked by August 6, 2010. If postmarked after August 6th your packet will be returned to you unopened. If your application packet is not complete it will also be returned. Please do not wait until the last minute to get your application packet sent. Your application packet must be received and complete by August 6th or you will not be eligible to compete! You will be notified by email that your application packet has been received and is complete. Mail application packet to: Miss Rodeo California Pageant Inc., P. O.
